A Pakku rotundus specimen, part of my 8-Bit Labs series of sculptures. Watch the vid here: [link]

Each piece is based on a classic videogame character as seen through the prism of real-life anatomy. They are rendered in clay, painted with acrylics and sealed in resin to give the appearance of a specimen preserved in formaldehyde. Seen here is a P. rotundus, which is based on Pac Man.

I've got a question:
In your Making a Piranha Plant video, I noticed that you use Sculpey Clay.
Do you bake the sculpey, or leave it raw?
Please answer, I want to make models like you! :noes:

I bake it in a toaster oven if it's small pieces, then I glue it all together, add clay to the seams and bake it in the oven. Then I add extra detail with an X-Acto knife. Hope that helps!

These look astounding! I've been thinking about doing a piece that would later be put in resin, so I was curious what kind of resin you used that came out looking that clear? I assume you also used a catalyst with the resin.

The detail of your clay sculptures are really well done. Giving them that extra bumpy textured skin really brings the full life out of all of them. Great job!

It's okay if you don't understand that, I was just compelled to type it. Nice work!

NICE WORK! Looks very realistic.*RANDOM FACTS* Did you know that the species of this creature emit a noise when breathing? And that they don't produce eggs? They basically swallow the egg of other oviparous creatures(mainly lizards), inject a sharp tube into the egg, absorb the current embryo inside it, inject their embryo into the egg, then lay the egg. It is amazing of what some creatures can do.
