In 2003, excessive force was used by the city of Miami and the Governor of Florida against anti-globalization protestors. American citizens, who supposedly have the right to assemble, took to the streets to fight for workers rights and environmental causes when the FTAA Summit took place in November. The city responded by treating its own concerned citizens as pests in the way of who they really serve - the elite businessmen who pay for their campaigns.
It would be nice if I could find more information out to this protest and the use of excessive force. All I can find is a reffrence to a protest in Miami dealing with the same thing that occured on 20Nov03 on wikipedia. Is this the same one or a diffrent one the same year?

Open to all mediums. Deadline is March 10, 2010 @ 11:59pm PST.
